I own a 2001 CLK W208 with the comand 2.0 unit.

The ones who have comand will know that the opening of the unit is with an enthusiastic MB Logo.

Here is my question:



Is there any way to make this logo a screansaver?

Or simply, I want to make this logo stay on the crean every time, is it possible?

I asked the question a long time ago, no responses. I just wanted them to change the logo to AMG and no one could do it.

 

I know it can be done. Anyone who has ever bought a Comand unit from Steve K. from the Netherl;ands knows that it opens up and has a custom screen that says " Mercedes Benz NL" or something to that effect. Not sure how he did it either.

 

I emailed steve and asked him, his sister responded saying that it was too difficult. But I believe if someone knew how read the programming on the MY01 Update disc, they would be able to change the Logo. I have no idea how to read any of that information. But I know if you haven't updated the firmware in your Comand, then you don't get the MB Logo at all. So that leads me to belive its on the Update disc. Any Programmers in the House.

I have MB logo at startup so I do not need to update my comand I guess.
So what should I do?
I need a programmer?
