How about how many inches it will lower a stock CLK 55 ? I know its the same kit for the 320/430, but the 55 is already lowered about an inch from the 320/430. Thanks

Again.....thank you for your imputes. I guess you guys twisted my arm enough not to put just two H&R springs onto the front. I will post pictures once I get my new designed buffed mirrored finished meshed grill and H&R spring assembled. You guys are like bro's. Thanks again.

....Kleemann springs only lower .75 inch....and I wanted bit more of a drop. I have no doubt that the matching shocks are amazing but I am afraid that they would blow out too soon. If lowering the car even with Eibachs would cause the stock shocks to blow out, I did not see why the Kleemanns would not blow out eventually with the H&R's (almost an inch dfference.) Since the warranty is only a year....I felt that $1680 was not worth the added performance. If I had money to blow....I too would have purchased the Kleemann shocks with H&R springs.

If you were going to get the Kleemann shocks, why not get their springs as well ? Is there a reason you would get the shocks and not get their springs (getting the H&R springs) ??

I have Koni shocks and H&R springs right now and the handling is great, as you can see in the vid I made.

After adding new spring and stock, do normally then get a Wheel Alignment. Also how are these conversion of the tire wear?

You should get alignment in 2 weeks after you lowered your car, the tires would wear faster if you put different spring pads, I have #1/1 spring pads and the front tires rub when I make an U-turn.

any time you lower the car, you will have to get the alignment adjusted. as for tire wear.... just hope you can get 10K miles out of them....

You can easily get over 10k in tire wear. There are a few things you have to do. First, do not use the Michellin Pilot Sports. They are over priced, and wear faster than other tires that handle better. Second, have your tires switched to the opposite side wheels every 5,000 miles. This will allow them to wear more evenly.

I was getting 10,000 miles out of my front tires before the car was lowered (Pilot Sports). And more after. The CLK prematurely wears the outer corner of their front tires without being lowered. The negative camber you will gain by lowering the car balances this wear out.
