clk430 reliable?
I currently have a 94 c280 which has been the most problematic car I have ever owned in my life. For some reason I held on to it for the pat 6 years though. I swore off mercedes after this, but now a friend of mine is offering to sell me his 2000 clk430, with 101,000 miles for a very good price. Are these cars reliable and trouble free? He says he has had no trouble with it what so ever.

I think the 430 is great (knock on wood). I have only had mione for a couple of months, but i have always read good things.
Just make sure it is well taken care of. The v8 is a fantastic engine, and you probably will not regret the choice.
Also, plan on ending your friendship with your pal if the car is a bomb...... sometimes a friends sale is a "good" deal, and sometimes it is not worth it.
