Mr. Vanos is right. If you read the auction info it states that this was a custom paint job. The car looks like it started off black. You can see the black firewalls, etc...
Looks like a rotten egg if you ask me. The only car that I like in SPeed Yellow are some Ferraris and the 996TT. I still woundn't own a yellow car...

And also notice that the front right rim is not chromed like the other three.
Well, in the pictures on ebay it's got a non-chromed front right rim.

I have heard that you can order that yellow via custom order only and not sure about the price. Supposedly you can order other freakish colors too for large money. Here is a pic.......

Luckily for us in Europe we have access to many more colours (we dont have the fixed "Designo" options you have, for us Designo is an extended range of outside, leather and wood options which you can specifiy as you like. For instance I have a CLK55 in Designo Varicolor 1 (which changes from Blue to Green depending on the light), and Ali-Scotland (name from the old board) has a CLK55 in the blue/purple that the SLK comes in.
Im pretty sure that MB will spray any car any color from the current car range and the designo range if you pay appropriately.
I dont know if they will spray cars in *any* colour (like BMW will if you want them to)

Uhhh... perhaps it's available as a custom order through the cooperative efforts of Hoffman MB of Manhattan and the Checker Cab Company (of Checker Manhattan fame).
You will have to specify not to install the Metro Package, or will be billed extra for the meter and smooth vinyl upholstery. Also ask about AMG wheel fitment, as the NY version includes the more pothole-friendly 13 "fat-boy" tire/wheel combination (wide whites extra).
