No Engine Start at 90 degrees C

My 99 CLK 430 heats up to about 90 degrees C then if turned off will not start again. Starter turns but no startup. I can run the heater on high for a few min to get the temp back down to ~85 and then the car will start. If i let the car run to about 95 degrees the auxillary fans kick on and only take it back down to ~90 then shut off. Anyone know what might be the problem?

I had a similar problem not too long ago. If you allow the car to cool down, it will eventually start. Sounds like the CPS (crankshaft position sensor) is gone. If it is, it's relatively inexpensive. I think like $119 fo the part. Take less than an hour to install. Hope this helps.
