Outside temp display is wacko?

My dash display of the outside temperature reads 20 - 30 degrees too hot. Any suggestions?

See Garage
The remote sensor should be visible below the bumper and protruding through the grills near the fog lights. It looks like a simple plastic knob, about half the diameter of a pencil eraser. On the C-Class sedan it is found in the passenger's front foglight grill... don't know about the CLK.

Sometimes this sensor gets pushed out of its mount into the engine compartment, where it naturally registers much higher temps at the gauge in your dash.

The fix is to find the sensor and place it back in its mount so it is exposed to the outside air, rather than heated engine compartment air

Cool

on the clk, it should be next to driver's fog light. make sure that you check it when your driving though. Dont try to troubleshoot whilst sitting still. Poor design picks up road/ engine/ radiator heat. If it reads approx accurate while cruising I'd say your in good shape.
