Flowmaster exhaust
Has anyone tried the Flowmaster Performance exhaust. I found a site that has one for the CLK. Borla makes a 304 Stainless oval cut tip to go with it.
I need to hear that V8 sound and I don't have a G to buy a good one.
The Flowmaster is under $200 (Not Stainless) with the Borla tip.
Any thoughts???

I'm sure it will sound good. I live by someone who has an M5 with flowmasters and it sounds really crazy. He has no resonators. If you have your resonator taken out you will probably like it more.
Here's a video clip of an M5 with flowmasters:

Wow that was brutal. That definately sounds like a Muffler/Resonator delete.
I think most of the CLK owners with V8s don't want to delete the muffler may be some of the reasons (but I'd still do it!)...
1. It will be a muscle car once those mufflers are gone

2. May attract cops.
3. It may not pass Smog? not sure, but IMO just taken back to where you got the exhaust done, put everything back on then pass then taken off again

4. DO EET!!!!!

Basically you can even delete the muffler on your stock ride, don't waste alot of money yet, first if I were you (because I was considering it and may end up doing it anyways) is delete the muffler on the stock exhaust, so you know what I mean, then go from there.

I have a place to get inspected, that's no problem.
You do need to have some back pressure, (stock ECU setup).
I think delete the resonator and go performance exhaust!

That's funny you brought that up, I had that setup on my boat.
It had a Big Block (454) in it and I had the Slient Choice option.
Who does that type of install?
