Drivers window - problem
Hi All,
Im having a strange problem with my electric window on the drivers side, when i try to auto close (one push of the button) it closes all the way up then opens about 2/3 inches ?? If i then press to close again it goes up and closes then opens about 2cms.
this only started happening 2 days ago, does anyone know how to fix it?
Thanks in advance

Do a search on how to reset the windows. Sounds like you had a loss os power or unplugged the battery for some reason the thing just lost its setting for some reason.
I think that all you have to do is raise the window without the auto feature and then hold it in the up position for a couple seconds but i am not too sure so its better to do a search for it.

Tried all the above last night,(including the other post) nothing seemed to work, something I did notice tho, is if I open the door and use the autoclose the window closes correctly, (stays up). Then if i close the door and try again, it magically opens again.
I wouldnt mind if it was sunny out but its been raining the past few days !!
This is driving me crazy.

Hello!
The same here ! but it only happens when it`s raining.
When it`s dry, it works great. I think that the window opens 2/3 because it feels there`s something in the way. (and that explains the closing when the door is opened).

hello all,
I'VE FIXED IT - YAHOOOO
I disconnected the negative from the battery, left it for 10 minutes then re-connected.
It makes the computer lose all its settings, then it reprograms itself afterwards.
After this, I opened the window (down to indent 1) then closed (indent 1) then held for 5 seconds.
I then opened again (indent 1) and closed (indent 2 this time) and held for 5 seconds.
SIMPLE !!
Now it works like it used to.
BUT I locked the key in the boot and had to get the AA to come and connect the jump leads up to the engine so I could use the boot open switch, so my 10 minute disconnect actually took 3 hours, 2 of them were me trying to break into my boot. At least now I am confident if I leave something in the boot its safe.
Thanks all for your advice and support.
Now to try and fix the leak in my passenger footwell
