Hi all
Recently got myself (or rather my wife just went out and bought back) a CLK430 Conv. !!
I've been driving only North American vehicles for the past 20years, so this came out of the blue !
My current rides are
1986 5.0 TPI Trans Am
2001 Trans Am WS6
2004 5.3 LT Tahoe
1997 4.0 Limited Jeep Cherokee
and of course
2001 Mecedes CLK 430 Avantgarde Cabriolet
Got a few questions on the Merc so will be back

Unfortuantely cant claim it as "my pick". Even tried to sway her to a Blown Mustang convertible for the same money, but she liked it and bought it. At least it's a V8 :-)
Re: Questions. To be honest, I know nothing about Merc's at all. No idea of model ranges, C, CL, CLK etc. Done a little research and know the engine is a 4.3 V8 and the Advantaged is the more luxury version ? It seems the previous owner ticked virtually every option available as it came to just short of £60K when new, including the AMG wheels (not sure they wont get changed soon)
Ideally I'll search the forum for answers before posting any direct questions.
Thanks
P.S. "Sick rides" indeed, especially with petrol/gas nearing $8 a gallon

Just saw that you live in London and I didn't even catch the flag in your sig.
Wow gas is expensive out there, it must be tough with all those gas guzzlers no? jk, you must really like the American Muscle, but trust me, you'd be suprised with that little German Monster you got there, modding is only the beginning, once you browse more around the CLK threads, I think you'll see why.
Enjoy your ride to the fullest, don't hesitate to ask Q's if you can't find anything.
