CLK Transmission Problems

Hey...does anyone know the symtoms and signs of transmission problems? I think I'm having transmission problems with my 01' CLK 320. I just replaced my crankshaft sensor and now I think my tranny is going out!! My car wouldn't go forward at a stop sign! It revved up but didn't move forward until I put it in reverse, move back, and then switched back to drive. Wierd! Any insight will be helpful before I make a trip to dealership this time! Thanks!

sounds like it could be, when my accord's tranny went out, i had to do the same, put it in reverse drop it to d1, d2, d3, then back to d4 and then it would go, it was an automatic, and after it went, it would slip back out if i pushed it too hard, and eventually it would slip all the time, and just rev without goiing anywhere, had to rebuild the tranny, I think the clutch went out

Cool

if your low on fluid it will do this exact same thing I would start by checking the fluid level first
