Reports from last year said it would be officially unveiled at the Geneva show in late February 2002, but one of the articles at MBSPY says it will be introduced at the Paris auto show, which is in late September 2002. I tend to believe it will be in the spring, not the fall.

The fall of 2002 would seem more likely to me since they will be unvieling the new E-class this spring. Why would they step on their own publicity? I would think that MB would want a continuous "buzz" around their dealerships by staggering the release of new models.

New CLK

I agree. With the impending release of both the new E and SL classes, it seems unlikely that Mercedes will introduce three new models at the same time. Particularly because the release of both the E and SL have been confirmed, while the CLK release is still unofficial. This leads one to ask if they will continue the W208 body as a 2003 model or will simply stop making the CLK until the new body is released.

I agree, but the SL has already been unveiled, the new E-class will be officially unveiled on January 15, the last I read. March or April would still be reasonable for the new CLK.
