What is the Best "handling" suspension for a clk-430??
Ok got a question for everyone, what is the best suspension(springs, shocks, and sway bars) setup for a clk-430. For me ride is not the important factor (still is nice but not top of the list), ultimate grip would be priority. Given those criteria is the kleeman set-up still superior? Living in the mountains makes me want quite a bit more handling. Ben feel free to pass any info along (also about your sway bars and their diameters).
Thanks in Advance

I would have to guess Kleeman, since everyone have nothing but good things to say about it.
The best bang for the buck would be the H&R Cup Kit. I'm trying to find sways for my car too, but apperently Eibach has discontinue theirs...

.....Kleemann, no question. Sway bars are tricky. The only available sway bar upgrade for CLK is the AMG which is present in the CLK 55. You can replace your CLK 430 sway bars with the CLK 55 AMG one. But if you have a Kleeman suspension, I,m not sure the AMG sway bar will add much. Bekkers.com sell sway bars for CLK......I do not not know whether it is the same CLK55 AMG set.

Kleemann Speed Sensitive Suspension allllll the way man. It's expensive no doubt, but i think it's worth it to dish out a little more instead of buying something cheap and not be satisfied with it.

Jeremy,
I'm going to have to go with the Kleemann as well. I've experienced virtually every suspension for the CLK, and I just haven't been as happy with any other. We will be introducing a new coilover suspension, that should provide the best handling. We are making it custom for a project car, as the customer is looking for the best track-handling he can get.
As for sway bars, unfortunately the eibach's are no longer available, so the only bars on the market are AMG. I can have a set made, however we would need 25 orders in order to do so.

Ultimate grip usually equals degraded comfort. If this doesnt matter to you go with a full on perf spec coilover (not a cup kit).
Im biased for sure, but our suspension doesnt have an equal for grip and comfort.
Swaybars: Eibach makes the AMG bar. If you order an AMG bar from the dealer and a Eibach bar from an aftermarket supplier you get the same piece, just a different color.
If you MUST have the Eibach units I can get them. Just give us a call. The set is $650, you are better off going with the MBZ parts.
Ill save you some time:
A202 323 50 65 Front swaybar CLK55AMG $330
A202 326 11 65 Rear swaybar CLK55AMG $142
A129 323 01 85 Rubber bushing, front X2 $15 each
A210 326 08 81 Rubber bushing, rear X2 $15 each
Total of $501.50

As I have mentioned in many previous posts, the Kleemann Suspension is actually more comfortable than a CLK55, and in many people's opinions even the non AMG models. It is a firmer feel, however the bumps seem to just fade away.

Thanks guys!!! Ben any more specs on your coil-over system? I really would like a coil-over system if its available, but kleeman may be the best way to go.
Thanks

Jeremy,
I don't have the specs yet, as we have not finished them. They will be available in a couple months, however they will probably be much stiffer than you are looking for. I would suggest going with the Kleemann Suspension, as it is much more suited for street use.

Yes, poly bushings would be better, but Mercedes does not have any designed for their bars. Poly bushings cost more to make and maintain, which is most likely the reason why Mercedes and other automobile manufacturers choose not to include them. Also, poly bushings need to be lubricated about once a year, or they will start squeaking.
