Osram Xenon D2R

I just replaced a burned out OEM xenon philips D2R bulb with an Osram Xenon D2R. When I turn the lights on both project a nice blue light however after 10 secounds the Osram bulb light turns from a blue color to one that looks like a typical halogen yellow. Any ideas what is wrong? Dud bulb? Any advise is appreciated.

My friend experienced the same thing with his BMW (warranty). The dealer ended up replacing both of the burners w/ the same ones (not as blue).

You could always get the Philips Ultinon 6000K hid burners..

The bulb is fine...Bulbs color shift as they get older, the older the bulb the "bluer" it will appear in output color. What you should have done was replace both bulbs at the same time, otherwise the light output on one bulb will not be color matched to the other.

Color shifting occurs at approximately 110-115 hours into the bulb's life.

Smile Xenon Bulbs

I had purchased and tried so many different bulbs on ebay. At the end I find these Xenon clearence bulbs and it matched well with my other Xenon bulbs and last me almost 7 month so far with no problem. I am thinking of purchasing another set for spare since they match so well. It's not easy to find quality bulbs these days..

Were there any fitment problems?
