The link is broken. But I've seen the pics you are talking about. And what a FUGLY car if that is what it turns out to be. God I hope not. I have my eye on a MY 03 or 04 CLK. Not if it looks like that though.

You lucky b***ards with your W208's. One of the nicest MB's ever made.

'01 CLK 55
In my humble opinion, I reiterate the comment I made a few weeks back regarding the "big block" CLK 55s being destined for collector status.(Karl, you must love this...) Signs say that the next generation CLK will be larger,(=heavier) positioned more "upscale", (aka MORE expensive) and skewed toward the "CL" look. ( what model in the MBZ line WON'T be?? At a distance, I actually mistook a C class for a CL...If you get my drift) As for the AMG going to a blown six, it makes a hell of a lot of sense from a production stand point, plus it keeps the buyers of the SL55 happy. God forbid a "lowly" CLK with the cojones of the six figure model. I think MBZ realized the error of their ways by having up till recently all AMG models with the same powerplant, resulting in the CLK being according to MBZ, officially the quickest car in the line for '01. (Oooops!, won't let THAT happen again,eh?). At this time, I wish to thank MBZ in advance for bolstering values and unintentionally dropping something special in my lap.

From the direction I'm seeing MBZ going, especially hearing how Schrempp is concentrating on keeping Chrysler alive, (at what cost to the MBZ?) we will continue to suffer. Imho, the line is getting to damn homogeneous in appearance to me....

2018 E400 COUPE SOLD -> Porsche Taycan 4S
i dont think so. they all look distinctively mercedes benz, but each has its own look. the S cant be mistaken for any other car and the new sl is just so smooth looking. im happy w/ my clk, but will wait until mb has some real photos to show before making any pre-judgments.

I really love this car, the 2002 CLK55 is the most enjoyable car I've ever owned.

It's the best automobile since Karl Benz patented the first tri-wheel "motor carriage" in 1886!

The more I study the pix of the 2003 CLK the more I am reminded not only of the Acura CL, but of the Acura CL's previous and discontinued model.

Does anyone have any interior shots of the 2003 CLK?
