Crank Position Sensor vs. Crank Reference Sensor

What's the difference, if any between crankshaft position sensor (003-153-28-28) or (F6010-1400980) found on sites between $80 and $120.....and the Mercedes Crank Reference Sensor found on sites such as onlinewholealeparts dot com for around $40? The pictures of the items look the same. I found other site with parts in the $40 range for the crank reference sensor - even e-bay has it

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/98-07...spagenameZWD1V

Does anyone know if these are the same parts or what the difference is??

Those 2 parts look like the CPS (Crankshaft Position Sensor)..theyre just calling them different names.

It's funny that there is more than a $60 difference in the 2 parts. I found this on another forum..(in an ML section)

In terms of resistance..with a meter or something...
I have it pulled out.
And if there are any Super Knowledgables out there. Why are two CPS's listed for the ML320- one (aka) Reference Sensor is interlock single and one is interlock double .

RE:
voltage (alternating current):
>2.0 ~ volts cranking
>5.0 ~ volts idle speed

resistance at 20 degrees centigrade:
bosch: 925-1255 ohm
AB electronics: 610-750 ohm

http://www.mercedesforum.com/Is_Ther.../m_7110/tm.htm

I guess the Bosch sensor is better?

Quick Update..

I ended up purchasing this part on e-bay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=260177188805

Installed it over the weekend - The car immediately started and is running much better. The rough idle is gone and it has started every time.

Thanks to everyone out there who posted How-To's. I never could have done this without you guys!
