This doesn't look or sound too good..
Then I have my side marker light that also went out, just my luck...
I ignore the lights because they can be done at anytime, now the problem grows somewhat. Today I noticed a strange but very awkward tone that the CLK430 made, I have never heard this or could just be me...but I think my 430 lost a little bit of tone in it's voice...the growl seemed to have...gotten a bit lighter
I know it sounds strange but I decided to give it a few revs, I noticed the the car didn't sound deep the way it should...I barely heard the V8 at all!
I opened the hood and revved from the bay, same result, I had a big WTF on my face and couldn't make it out. For once it sounded quiet and almost had the sound of a 6!! I gave a little inspection to maybe see why it sounded the way it did, nothing, no harsh idling...but maybe I'm used to the fan blowing? When you rev the car you will hear the fan blow afterwards, so maybe I was dillusional I don't know
, but when I drove off the car in Drive, it was fine.
John, hopefully thats the case with you too. Good luck!!

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed though, but I don't know what it was but it might of been due for an oil change because I checked, it was at half!
I checked further, there was a small leak in the oil filler, nothing too serious but can be fixable. So I went down to my mechanic's shop got an oil change and now shes runnin strong again. I haven't revved the car in park yet, but I'll see how it sounds again and report back.
