German muscle that can do this is rare. This equates to a mid 9-second pass and even highly modified Benzs rarely dip into the low 11s. A stock CLK55, even one with a Kleemann setup and nitrous would not be able to do this. The transmission, rear end, and engine would have to be completely rebuilt...

Ummm, no. 155mph trap in a 1/4 mile is a mid 9s pass not a FULL mile. I'd bet money that my car can do 0-155mph in a full mile. I have Kleemann setup and nitrous. I think I can do it without the nitrous. Apparently the weakest link is the axle, not the rear end or trans although I would like to build the trans if I dont sell the car, along with some custom axles.

True, thats what I meant. In a full mile, your car should be able to hit 155 w/o the squeeze. And if you sell the car, you can always give me a call!

The car is always for sale! If someone offered me $43k it would be a done deal. Thats about how much worth of mods are on the car. It has the best of everything on the car and 2 sets of high dollar rims worth over $10k new easily. I used the nitrous twice, once on the dyno to check afr and once at the dragstrip and broke an axle Nitrous in first gear is a nono until I get the custom axles.

Happy owner of '98 CLK 320
BlackBenz, what was the result on the dyno?
Did you translate it to a measurable number in horsepowers or torgue?

I've priced out some nice older low mileage Viper GTS cars that I am looking at in the low $40K range that are tempting me right now........
