Proper tire pressure for CLK320
Hello everyone,
I installed 17in. AMG wheels and Micheline Pilot Sport tires on my wife's CLK320. The setup is the same as the CLK430. What are the proper tire pressures for the front and the rear tires? Also her front tires are wearing out, do I have to buy the same tires or can I use other brands, like Dunlop SP9000?

The tag inside the fuel door says 28 front 32 rear. I think thats WAY too low for a 3400 or 3700 lb convertible like mine.
I had the stock wheels with continental tires, ran them at the reccomended pressure and they were badly balded on the outer edge AT 9000 miles. The centers were in nice shape, but they were so bad on the outside a replacement was needed for me,
I upgraded to the amg wheels found on the clk 430. I got some cheepo Nitto nt450 tires, cost me 320 for 4. I will admit that they are horrible in the rain, you cant accelerate with more than half throttle with asr coming on.
But in the dry they are excellent! They handle great and i have had them on for 10000 miles so far. My treads on the rear look as they do when they were new, the fronts wearing nice and even at 36 front 34 rear. I find that works for me. The tires have a A traction A temp and 300 treadwear but outlast my 360 tw stock crap.
Hope that helps

I just swithced to Dunlop SP9000s last week from Michelin Pilot Sports and I like them much better. Ride seems better. From the reviews, treadlife is better also.
Call up tirerack and ask about tire pressure for your car. They'll have the proper info.
