2007 Mercedes S550 Brabus

Engine Check??????

The gauge is indicating me ENGINE CHECK. What are the possibilities? Should I take it to the dealer or can I just take it to the local shop? THanks for your help.

If your car is under warranty, take it to a dealer for a checkup. If it is not under warranty, call the dealer and ask how much is a computer diagnostic checkup to find the engine issue. Compare the price with a local shop specializing in benz, and german autos. This way, you have two options.

Like djamer said if its under warranty just take it to the dealer. It is probably an 02 sensor or your mass air flow sensor.

thx guys. I just went to dealer and had a long line, so i just made an appointment. They said that it might be a problem of fuel lid. They opened it and reclosed it and said that it takes one day for the "check engine" light to go off. I am waiting....
