Reseting computer after replacing maf?
I just finished changing my Maf sensor , and I was just wondering do I have to reset de computer after installing the new maf ? Can I do it by unplugging the battery? (btw I have no errors on the dash) thank you!

You need to do nothing more than drive the car.
After replacing a MAF, if the CEL is still on, it will clear after 3 cold start cycles.
Beware if your car is due for a state insection. It will fail. There are a dozen or so sensors and many will show as 'not 'ready' in the OBDII test. Driving a couple hundred miles will reset these to 'ready'.

You can go to AutoZone, Advanced Auto Parts and other automotive parts suppliers that will read out your trouble codes for free.
If the MAF is out of specification, eventually your CEL will come on. Sometimes it turns on and off for a while before permanently staying on.
The MAF from the dealers sell for near $400.
I bought one from http://www.autohausaz.com/ for a lot less.
There are lots of other online parts retailers as well.
Some buy them on eBay for even less however, one needs to really make sure of what their getting.
Changing it takes 5 minutes and a screwdriver.
Actually, only the senor element needs to be changed but it is not usally available as a replacement part. There was a site that sold just the replacement element for $65 but they seem to be out of business for the last couple of years.

Only buy an OEM from Autohauzaz..Ebay cheapos will fail soon...many time an O2 sensor code is actually a MAF in CLKs...most autopart stores no longer clear the codes because they are then responsible for engine damage caused by not repairing code. Many DIY do the entire job correctly but fail to seat the rear of the air cleaner correctly (seat area first and then gently lower front into the clips)....engine will run rough.
