Clicking noise from back 2 rims

I just put on new 18x8.5 rims from Brabus with tire size 225-40 onto my sister's slk. There is now a clicking sound coming from the back of the car where the rims are. It seems like somethings hitting everytime the tire makes a revolution. It happens going 10mph and slower. Did I overlook anything while putting on the rims? Any help would be appreciated.

Additional information:
These rims came off my clk if that makes any difference.

PS. I know this has no place in the CLK forum but this place has more traffic.

That happened to me when I put my 19x9.5 Brabus on a while ago, I took it to F1 Motorsport and they fixed it for me for a pretty good deal. I remember they said something about wheel bolt.

Cool thanks for the reply. When you changed your wheels to your brabus ones were you using stock lugnuts? I forgot to tell my sister that my stock lugnuts were stored somewhere else. So, she just ended up using her stock lugnuts to put on the brabus rims and not the ones that came with the rims. Do you think that maybe the problem?

If anyone knows any other reason for this to occur. Please feel free to reply .

I heard that same noise when I put new wheels and tires on my CLK. It really pissed me off but after a week or two, the problem went away. I seem to remember that after the tires warmed up, they got a little quieter.

Your wheel lug bolts is too long. You alway use the lug bolt that came with the aftermarket wheel.
