Easiest hood badge replacement - $24 at the dealer
Just replaced my horribly corroded hood star with the flat badge.
DEALER part #: A 204 817 06 16
This is from the W204. Their hood, apparently has the same cutout shape that the W208 does.
They charged me about $24 + tax. Install was 30 seconds - pop out hood star from underneath, new piece snaps into place from the top.
Just like all the others, it is "bigger" than the original - so it overlaps the hood intent - however it looks great and the install could not have possibly been easier. Piece fits flush against the hood all the way around, except at the very front - which is fine, it should act as a drain hole in case water gets underneath.
PS: Got this from Leandro on "the other" MB board. This seems like a MUCH better alternative to all the other ones out there.
