Help Key Wont Work

Hi Folks,
The key fob for my 01 CLK will not open or close the doors remotely.
It will open the boot every time but will not open the car.
Is there a battery in the key that can be replaced, if so how do you open the key?
Or could it be a problem with the central locking?? The central locking button inside the car works fine.
Also buying a spare key off ebay, anyone know how to program it for use with my car?

First, you will waste your money on buying a key off of ebay, you won't be able to program it. The simiplest way to change out the battery in the fob is to go to the dealer and ask them to do it. Then again, there are full instructins in your manual. If you don't have a manual:
Mercedes CLK Class Owners Manual

I would start with a new battery then go from there.
