Just Purchased CLK 230k - what to do now?
Hi guys,
I am new on here from London; but am embarking on a new project with my most recent purchase.
99 V - CLK 230K AVANTGARDE (FACELIFT) IN Manual.
It has 80k on the clock with full MBSH.
The colour is black on the logbook, but it is actually a blue/grey/green; it would be appreciated if someone could tell me the actual colour name.
Currently there are stonechips on the bonnet and front bumper and various scratches & dents across the car so I am due to get a full respray. There is some rust which i am keen to chase up MB Mobilo life about. People who have dealt with them before, it would be helpful if you could let me know the process and your thoughts on the things i have listed below.
The changes i plan to make:
18" Mono Block AMG II's
Lower 40mm at the max
Put my Alpine head unit in
HID Headlamps
Crystal Clear Headlamps
Problems i have:
On the center console where the heating controls are, at night the drivers side controls seem to be lit up, there is no light on the passengers side.
There is a loud clunk/click when the drivers door opens, it looks like a clip which may need fastening.
The passenger mirror has come out of place and seems difficult to get it back in, although the electrics are still working, the cover is not on fully.
The leather on the gearknob is peeling, i plan to purchase a new one.
Will be uploading pics soon, but any help people have for the above problems will be well appreciated. It's really good to see some serious enthusiasts on the opposite side of the world doing exactly what we do here but in some ways better...
If you have any ideas please let me know as I'm open to suggestions.

Yeah sure, am gonna do a little detail tomorrow as the weather isn't so good here in the UK I don't want to do something and have it ruined by the rain.
So pics will be up soon.
Any mods you guys can recommend.
I have ordered my springs & shock kit today, picked it up for fairly cheap which I'm happy with.
But will do the wheels 1st, then that.
