Sub and amp in 2001 clk320
After reading through these forums, I decided to add a sub/amp combo to my ride. I thank you for info that I found here. I had done a similar to my last ride (is350) and figured it wasn't much of a difference.
I added a Clarion HU with mp3 and aux input in front, Scocshe line converter, a Bazooka 10inch passive sub, and a Pioneer 800w mono-amp. Kept all the other speakers in place. May swap out later but for now really like the bottom end I get from the Baz.
I tapped into the cig lighter for power to the HU, battery is in the back for easy install for amp, and tapped into blue/white cable from factory amp on driver side panel in trunk for remote power. Picked up an amp kit from Frys and installed on a sunday. I'm taking the sound from the HU preamp output (this one has two).
