I get this sometimes too, but I never really looked into it but it happens once in awhile, not all the time though, if anybody can chime in it'd be greatly appreciated.

bumping an old thread since what I have to ask is relevant.
if I do a couple of hard pulls or am doing a lot of city driving the tranny (the little space where the cupholder goes) gets pretty warm; depending on the ambient temp outside and how hard i'm driving it can get pretty hot. i did a tranny flush 20k miles ago -- is this normal for benzes, especially a 320?

Normal for me. And I have heard other guys complain about it.
2000 clk430 here. Keeps your warm drinks warm and makes your cold summer bev sweat like crazzzyyyy. To the point of hot. Sucks
