LOL Broken CLK, poor guy.

Sounds like you have a stolen car and are trying to get your key to work. I don't think you'll find your answer here.

It'd probably be easier to build a CLK from scratch.

He doesn't say, it's implied. There is no need to reprogram a car's computers to 'change key system.' If the car is indeed legit, any Mercedes dealer or associate can provide a duplicate computer key for the car.

Re: Need main computer block scheme

Hi!

Car is not stolen - all docs and keys is with me.
I have been in MB service and they make diagnostic for all system, but answer is that I must change main computer, because it is broken.
If I must change computer, it means, that I must change all key systems too, because of imobilaser code - it is going through all computer area network.
I don't want to change all the systems in my car, so I ask this question - is it possiball to change only broken parts of computer?

Um.....MB Service wouldnt tell you that you need to change your computer, they do that for you......sorry but if your car is under warranty they would definitely fix that, and if your car is not under warranty, you would still have to pay to have them fix it, this is all very sketchy, no one would need to fix the computer of the "broken parts..." themselves unless they have aquired a stolen CLK that they cant take into MB sevice for obvious reasons....once again, i say good try bud, but its not going to happen....

At first I must say thta it is 1998 year car and it doesn't have any warranty from MB service, so I must pay for all activities in service.
They make diagnostic for my car and say, that mostly all blocks is not working and they must be replaced.
For replacing and for all new parts - blocks, there is estimation for ~5000 EUR.
I don't want to pay 5000 EUR!
But it's ok - I had already find service, where I can fix it for more cheeper (apr. 5 times cheeper), than in MB service.:p

this is good, perhaps the car is not stolen, i dont know, my advice would be to use more clarity in explaining your problem, when you say you just need to reset the computer, it sounds very sketchy...

but um....good luck with your broken/stolen(im still undecided) CLK.....

Umm, in his first message he says the computer needs to be reprogrammed, then recently he says MB Service told him the computer is broken and needs to be replaced...how would you reprogram a broken computer? how would a computer "break" in the first place, it seemed your original message was more to reprogram the computer and change the keys, and now you're saying that what they really told you was to have it replaced. Man, whatever makes you happy.

I'am IT specialist and I don't believe, thet there is not possible to change broken parts (chip or diode) and fix the problem without changing all parts.
