do CLK cabriolets freeze?
Hey guys, I live in Portland, OR and its not like freezing all the time, but for you owners who are like in cold areas... have you ever experienced your windows not rolling down when its really cold? or is that something else different.
One day I was going thru the McDonalds drive thru and my window wouldn't roll down. I had to turn the car off, freak out, and then turn the car on again and then it was okay. That day it wasn't that cold.
Like 3 months later, when it was like 20-30 degrees and realllly icey, I get in my car, and notice that the button for the head rests in the back to go up or down the light is blinking, and I pushed the button and it doens't do anything... and then none of my window buttons would roll down. I didn't notice if even the windows went up or down a little for the cabriolets when they open and close doors, but the next day everything worked fine.
Did my car like freeze up?
Poor Silkie, (thats her name)

Don't think it's freezing up. You can try resetting your windows.
1. Reseting your windows: Bring down both windows at the same time by holding the switches just before the click that brings them down automatically. Once both windows are all the way down make both switches click by pressing them all the way down. This lets the ECU learn that that is the end of the window track and it records it in memory. Do the same closing the windows by holding both switches and making them click once the windows are all the way up.
