Question Need help.....Eibach springs and camber setting

I had my MB dealer install Eibach springs on my stock 430. In previous posts (couldn't get search to work), people have mentioned camber setting problems. The dealer did a full alignment and said everything was within spec, but my front tires are wearing on the outside edges pretty fast. Someone (Daesun?) had mentioned having to get a special spacer to fix the camber. Can anyone please provide some specifics so I can tell my dealer what they need to do? Thanks.

Usually the only tire wear you would experience from bad camber after lowering would be inner tire wear. What you're experiencing is what I call "Fun Tire Wear." Basically, when you have fun with the car, (cornering fast) you're riding more on the outer edges of your tires. Try raising your tire pressure to 36 PSI (if 17") in the front. I got a free set of front tires out of this, but that was before I lowered the car.

Still need help........I wish it was simply "fun wear". I put 20K miles on the tires with even wear, then had the springs installed. 7K miles later there is still 1/4" of tread on most of the tire, but the outside edge tread is completely gone and there's also a lot of tire noise. Something's not right. You mentioned that if it was a camber problem from lowering, I would get wear on the inside of the tire. Is that right? Any other's with experience on this?

When the car is lowered the camber goes negative (top going in), which would cause wear ONLY on the inside 1/8 of the tire. If the outers are wearing, perhaps the alignment overcompensated, adding some positive camber to the wheels (top going out). Other than overinflated tires, or the "fun wear" that Mach430 mentioned, I couldn't think of another reason the tires wear excessively on the outside.
