Noisey steering wheel

Hi
I'm having some trouble with my 320.
At very low speeds (eg when parking) I hear a scraping or rubbing sound when I turn the wheel. MB have fitted a new power steering pump but that hasn't cured the sound.
They say they will consult Germany to see if they know what it might be.
Has anyone had any similar problems and any suggestions on how to tackle it?

Any info is useful,

Thanks

Pullin

HHHmmm never heard of that problem before. Try bringing it to the dealer and see what they have to say about it.

My local dealer is useless. They said they had a similar problem on a C Class. They replaced the power steering pump on the C Class and it fixed the problem.
They tried the same with my CLK and the noise is still there. They said they would contact Germany to see if they had any solutions.
I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced or known anything like this.

pullin, my local dealer is also useless (MB Greenway in Houston)! Have you done any mods to your car? Wheels? Drop?

Nope, no mods at all.
I've had a new front drivers side suspension arm fitted as I damaged the original one.
When my local dealer replaced the suspension arm they also had to re-track the wheels etc. I wonder if my problem stems back from that?
My dealer is admitting to nothing.
Fortunately the car is still within warranty so all work is carried out at no cost to me.
