I was told by a mechanic I should replace my front wheel bearings. My 1999 clk430 has 98,000 miles on it.

My question is how difficult would it be to replace. I don't feel like spending $800 to have it done especially since I can get the parts for less than $150.

Any pointers would greatly be appreciated.
