I'm sure you all know what I am going to say next...
Well, both of my front rims are bent so I will see what I can do about going after the city for not fixing the 1 foot by 1 foot pot hole one block up from my place. The good news is I only paid $200 per rim to replace them and no more curb rash from when my wife drove the car a few times while I was out with my broken ankle.
I just wasn't planning on spending $400 for new rims, since I have about a G-note coming with all the work to the car next week.

Actually we plan on, we've been looking in the Rose Hill and Newcastle areas. My office is moving to Eastgate so the Newcastle area would be nice for the commute, but we both really like the Rose Hill neighborhood.

Same here...
Yeah, I banged the hell out of mine the other day too... Do you have how to go about getting compensation from the city for bent wheels and bubbled sidewalls?

Seattle is an S-hole. It tool me 7 weeks living in Wallingford to get sick of the bums puking on my motorcycles, sitting on the hoods of my cars and the relentless smell of urine.
I prefer the WEST site of the sound.. . That last time I saw a pot hole I was in Seattle picking up bike parts. Seattle.. how I hate the... let me count the ways...
As far as the city... a buddy of mine with an Audi is going after the city for identical damage to his ride. Do it. The only way they will start to worry about the quality of the city above the quality of their PR is to hit them in the pocketbook.
Honestly, I'm ashamed to be in the same state as King County (much less Seattle) but that's a rant for another time.

Here's How To File A Claim With City
Tom Brune
Seattle Times Staff Reporter
Most people don't know that the city of Seattle government will pay damage claims arising from street defects for which the city is liable - those that the city knows about but has not repaired. There is no obvious listing in the telephone book or on the city's Web page for a number to call about claims.
That was not done on purpose, said Jack Johnson, chief of the civil division of the city's Law Department. "It just hasn't been on anybody's priority list to advertise that," he said.
To file a claim, a person must obtain a claim form from the City Clerk's Office. The instructions can be found at 206-684-8213.
One of the four city adjusters will check out the claim, Johnson said. He said the city last year paid about a third of the 399 claims filed for damages from street defects.
