Check Engine Light - need advice

My CEL came on last week after I pulled my CLK out of storage. Car is MY 2000 with 33,000 mi. I had to replace the battery. CEL came on 2 days later. Reset did nothing. OBDII showed fuel trim malfunction on both banks (P0170/P0173). I changed the air filter and cleaned the MAF. This cleared the CEL and the car ran great. Filled it up this pm with Shell V-power (92 octane) and the light came back on within 1 mile. It was stumbling for the next 5-6 miles and then this leveled out. Gas cap is tight. I am looking for advice as to the next step. I ordered a new fuel filter and will change that out later this week. Do I need to change the O2 sensor, as well?? Any other thoughts?
Thanks.
Steve

That is your MAF sensor going out. I also ran into the same problem and even bought a MAF on Ebay but it ended up being a bad one. So, after 2 months of misdiagnosing the problem thinking the Ebay maf was good it ended up being the ONLY problem I had. I bought a factory OEM one at the stealership for 470!!, and it actually fixed my problem completely. If I were you I would only buy the MAF from the dealership. Any other parts are ok to buy on EBay but the MAF was definitely not one of them.

I'll try the new MAF, then. Does anyone have experience buying from http://www.autohausaz.com ? They seem to have really good prices.
