What do you run?

Out of curiosity, if any of you have taken your cars to the track, what kind of times are you running?

Reason I ask is because Sunday night my bf was driving the car when an '06-'07 Subaru STI decided to play around with him. They had a couple goes and the whole time my car was out in front by atleast half a car length. And you could tell that the guy was right on with his shifting, so it wasn't like he was a bad driver. When they stopped at a light the guy commented on my car and then told my bf that his car ran mid 13's at the track with a 100+ mph(can't remember what he said). We've haven't taken my car to see what it runs yet, but now I'm curious. Have any of you played around with an STI???

Hmm, CLK430 isn't even in the same league as a STI.

STI is all wheel drive, 3.900 final drive, weight 2800 lbs, hp 300. 0-60 4.8 seconds (stock)

CLK430, 3400 lbs, 275 hp, 2.82 final drive, 0-60 6.1 seconds

Hands down, the STI will spank the CLK430.

The CLK430 should runs in the low 14s @ 98-100mph, depending on conditions.

The STI are very quick, especially from a dig...

Check out www.dragtimes.com for some interesting reading.

Was it silver? I ran into one in Wilsonville on Sunday and same thing I was about a car length in front at around 125. I figure the guy sucks at driving because an STI should take one of our cars pretty easy. Though they aren't the best top end cars. If you and your bf are going to take yours to the track let me know and I'll try to make it out as well. I am also still trying to figure out a good date to attend an open track event at PIR. There's a BMW day the end of this month and one mid next month. Any interest in that?

See thats what was weird, especially when the guy told my bf his track time. We both know that an STI would normally kill my car, and it was for sure a STI.

Chappy- I checked out that site yesterday. Thats where I go when I'm curious of track times of various cars. I like going to it.

NVDR- Nope, it was for sure a newer STI.

Boosted- I'm not sure what color it was, I was at work. Once the weather gets better we'll probably take it. I'll let you know when we do. Maybe it will just be on one of those track event days.

haters crazy
STI would beat a CLK430 quite easily. As stated before a stock CLK430 should go mid to low 14's at around 100mph (probably a little less).
