SUnroof is stuck
Ok, now to compound another problem onto my other post of getting sick of my CLK, my sunroof is stuck. Anybody experience this? Just happened an hour ago. Opens fine, but closes like 95% of the way and seems to be getting stuck because of a slim metal piece that ever so slightly raises when you open the sunroof. It's supposed to fold down when closing, but doesn't seem to be happening. Now my roof is stuck abt an inch open. Is this an easy fix? That lexus is sounding like a good idea now. Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions you all may have.

Try this first. Key on. Pull switch back to open Sunroof. When it goes all the way back KEEP holding the switch back for at least 12-15 seconds. Now push the switch UP and sunroof should start moving forward all the way forward then the back will raise out of the roof. KEEP holding switch up for 12-15 seconds. This should reset the sunroof.
Over 4 years, this has worked for me a few times.
This was going to be in my very next post, so here it is.

Do not disconnect the battery. You will have to reset everything...windows ABS etc.
All you have to do is the "open the roof all the way...hold 10 seconds when it gets there. Then close all the way and hold for 10 seconds" That will do the reset. I would grease the tracks. It usually needs the reset when there is a drag on the motor or an obstruction.....now saying that, I did have a bend in the linkage of the wind defector that needed a replacement (thanks to a friend that thought it would be cute to grab the front edge and pull themselves up though the open roof.
