Hello all,
I own a 2000 CLK 430 Convertible. My wiring harness is damaged, and I need to get the convertible top up so I can have it shipped to the dealer to have it fixed. But without being able to power the car, I cannot get the convertible tonneau cover (the one that covers the convertible top when the top is retracted) to move so I can get the top up.
Is there a way to do this? Thanks in advance for anyone that has any tips, suggestions, or answers. Great forum by the way!

There should be tools that came with the car in the trunk. one of those tools is a wrench that has an allen head on the other end of the wrench. You take the wrench and find the lock that is located between the rear seat and the top cover, and you unlock the lock manually, then you will be able to open the cover.

I popped the hydro lines off to try to manually pull the top up, but it feels like it is locked. What is the next step to put the top up?
Thanks again for the great advice!

You would have to turn the pump off from the trunk. You would need a flathead scredriver, and you just turn the pump off. Theres a white funnel shaped cone to get to the screw for the pump.
