Dummy Taillights?

Just got my taillights tinted last week. A couple of days ago I found out the taillight parts on the trunk (see picture) are not on even when I have the lights on or hold the brakes. Called the bodyshop thinking the might have forgotten to hook them up. They told me those parts on the trunk cover are just simply decorative and there aren't even light bulbs in them from the orginal model. Is that true, guys?

1st pull fog lights
2nd pull trunk lights

Those are the rear fog lights, but only one side lights up, not both.

CLKCLK:

Ya they are not very nice people, the kind that keep saying they can do everything with a fake smile on their faces. The main reasons why I went with it were because it's close to where I live and it's just a minor project. Well turns out they're just full of it...

DropTop208:

You mean just one side would light up? What is the purpose of just one light?

It's just amazing how you guys know so much about the car. Thanks guys.

Not true.

It is a rear fog light so people can see you from behind when driving in bad weather conditions.

Depending on what country you are in your car will be wired for either the Left or Right. Some people rewire them to both come on.

Check my LED Tail Lamp post w/pictures

Yours look soooo cool. Bet you're getting all the Japanese girls there. Is the cost of driving crazy over there?

babyboigsxr:
I've had the car for about a year and a half. I'm one of those guys who can barely change a tire. So it's really cool to have you guys here to ask before handing my wallet to the dealership or the dishonest shops.

lowphat:
Yeah I sure made it confusing. I meant the whole thing on the trunk.

Thanks for the compliment
I get my share of Japanese Woman here

The cost of driving is crazy, every Highway there is a toll fee and High Octane Gas is 6.62 per gallon.
