Trans module problems
My car was parked in the wrong spot at my friends house and his sprinklers came on.* It was getting sprayed with the windows down for a hour(good thing the top wasn't down!) Anyway now I am having the famous "trans module problem".* The car won't shift out of first, the shifter is fussy about going through the gears and my dash lights up like a christmas tree with warnings.* I heard the module is under the cup holder.* I took it out and I don't see anything.* I could use advice and directions!Thanks.Triple black 2001 CLK430 Cab.**

The unit is under the passenger floor mate. You should see a metal plate after remove the floor mate, the TCU is under that metal plate.
With your situation, I guess you just need to use a dry blower to dry it if it was flooded by water. I also remove the stick shift cover right under the knob and dry it for safe
and remember next time close your window

Same thing happened to me and until I got everything dry everything was all messed up. CLKCLK's advice is right on, make sure you dry it up really good or you will get mold and smell it in the summer heat more than in the winter.

Trans module problem
Thanks, I have remove the metal plate but there are two boxes. Which one is it. If you are looking at it, is it the one close to the console(on the left) or the other one.
