Car idiot here, need some help/advice from the pros!

I'm looking to lower my car (2001 CLK320) and from what I've seen the best way to go is H&R springs. My questions are how much do you think the car should be lowered, it seems like it can range from .5inches up to 2.5inches.

Do I need anything besides the springs for installation? I was planning on buying all the parts online to save money, and would like to know everything I need. Also, where can you get these parts online?

Third, I have 20 inch wheels on the car. Will this be a problem and affect how low it should go? Any recommendations here?

I'm new here and look forward to your guys' help! I really love my new benz and want to make sure I do everything right.

Thanks!

with 20's you might rub.

you should also consider shocks.

also you will need to get an alignment after you lower it.

i think blistein shocks and eibach pro-kits are the best combination.

hit up trinityautosports and tell them van sent you and they will hook you up, match any price you get online.

depending on how you want ur car sitting on the rims theres a lot of factors to be taken in consideration. first H&R is a great choice! second shocks are a must, a lot of ppl recommend bilstein but i found that koni yellow adjustable shocks is the best option but slightly more money. camber kits for are suggested but really dont make the difference in saving you money on buying tires like crazy. im on my 2nd set for the year. rolling your fenders is a route i would take only if you want the **** tucking like mine. even then it depends on the dimensions of wheels. width and offset will tell you the direction youll need to take. i just purchased the H&R sway bars for front and rear that was a terrific buy with a noticeable difference.

Finally as far as pricing i can have u taken care of by Harbor Motorsports. pricing is shocking and depending on where u live installation is superb!
