steering/susp problem?

my car seems to bounce/learch at parking speed on full lock? i have lowered my car and have 8x18 on the front with 225/40-18?

is this normal? or is something broke?

it also seems to be unstable in highspeed bends or is this just the clk?

Hey Paul

I have the exact same symptoms! I have the full Kleemann Suspension w/ 19" BBS LMs and just last week changed the pads to # 1 all the way around.

When I back up & turn the wheel all the way to one side, it feels as if the lug nuts are loose and the wheel wants to fall off.

And now the car is following every groove in the road.

So I guess it's somewhat normal.

BTW. Where is MY sound file? I should be getting mine around Jan 14th...

Cheers, Coop

When lowering any car, negative camber is increased, hence your problem with the car following grooves in the road. That combined with wide tires makes the symptom very noticable. Having the car aligned will remedy the situation somewhat, but not totally. There's always a trade-off for good handling. I have noticed this problem is more noticable in CLK's, as compared with other models, such as an E or C-Class. My stock 944, which also has a fair amount of negative camber from the factory has the exact same symptoms.
