H&R Sport Springs

How low will the H&R sport springs be on a CLK430.

I noticed on the H&R site that both have the same part number, and both are listed lowering 1.4" Front and 1.3" Rear.

I don't believe this would be true since they have different engine weights.

Anyone using these springs, can you post pics?

I'm contemplating between the H&R Sport Springs versus the Cup Kit, which would yield something around a 2-2.1" drop in front (listed at 1.9" for CLK320)

H&R Sport, Koni Adjustable, #1 spring pads all around give you this.

Bruce- Love your ride like always. Would my ride sit even a little lower since its a V8?

What if I stick with the stock shocks for now? How's the height difference compared to your Koni adjustables?

Can't wait to see all your new mods...

Thanks, I think your car will be just as low as mine w/ H&R sport and #1 spring pads, maybe the front will be a little lower but I doubt you will notice the difference. You should come to my videoshoot next time and check out how low the car sits in person.

Your car would sit slightly lower, because of the additional engine weight, but other options effect both car's heights as well (different packages). It is not necessary to change your shocks when you lower your car, but it is recommended for a number of reasons. The stock shocks are not designed to ride at the lower height or stiffer rate. The result of doing so will be increase wear on the shocks, possilby bottoming out, and unoptimal ride quality/handling. Changing to a Kleemann or Koni shock would make an enormous difference in the car's ride characteristics. I've had both, so feel free to ask any questions.
