CLK with navigation

Thanks for the reply
I want to buy an 02 or 03 but with navigation system. How much do you think it will cost with no more than 70000 miles on the car? Also i am wondering will this car last for 200 000 miles?
I currently own a nissan 300zx, with close to 200 000 miles, but the engine is still strong as it was 100 000 miles ago. One of the best cars i have driven.

a 2002 would be a W208, the 2003 is the W209 which is a totaly different bodystyle.
an average 2002 CLK430 runs in the neighborhood of $13K-$18K depending on mileage and market.

I have an '02 W208 with the factory navi. It was VERY SUPER COOL when new, but today's navis outperform it by far. While I like the navi, I absolutely love the newer one in my '08 W204. Given your position, I would try to find an aftermarket navi / tuner / amp / whatever that would work in the (double DIN?) space provided in the dash.
Good luck with your search!

Yeah the factory nav is nothing like you see on cars now. I would rather find a nice clean clk with out one for a good price and upgrade to a nice aftermarket deck. I use my garmin before I use the one in the car

I disagree with you on this one bud.
Factory COMAND navigation in our CLK's is very usable with map updates available, bright display, turn-by-turn voice integrated audio, solid list of POI's, heads up display to driver which no aftermarket will give u. UI is also better than any aftermarket unit will give u.
Obvious con's are its still CD based and doesnt have touch screen but other than those its a very practical system and will not get u lost.

Don't get me wrong it was a nice feature in the car when it was new and ahead of its time probably but its a little out dated in 08'. I have it so i'm not knocking it but the con's of aftermarket units out way what the factory one can offer.

Navigation systems for the CLK Started with 2000 vehicles as well as a few other changes. More minor changes happened with the 2001 vehicles which is mostly a firmware upgrade to the computer with additional features like being able to display the vehicle speed in the digital display.

Another plus of COMAND - get Steve at MBenzNL to add the TV tuner!

I agree - the factory system is still quite useable and has advantages the aftermarkets ones don't, like MB dealers loaded as POIs on the discs, a great look as all the buttns look up at night, best integration with steering wheel buttons and the redundant message center under the speedo/tach ... not to mention that if it is already installed you get it at the depreciated price. If you don't have it yet you have a choice between a more modern system or getting Steve at MNenzNL to add the factory original - each to his own.
