New Guy w/ questions

Hello all.

New to the forum but I have been using the Supra forum for quite a while. I have yet to really do anything to my CLK even though i Have owned it for nearly a year. I have read back in the history and search sections and I still have 2 questions about my CLK 430

1. Who can I buy a Black grille from? I have seen who offers them but I never saw where anyone sold them.

2. Which spring are personal recommeded and why?

Thank you all for your help.

DAN

No one "sells" a black grille for the CLK. You have to paint it. Unfortunately, it ends up chipping every time you drive it. Brabus has some sort of special finishing for blacking out chrome, you might want to ask them.

As for springs, I recommend H&R or Eibach to my cutomers, depending on how low they want to go. The lowest setup is the H&R cup kit, with H&R sport springs, next, and EIbach the highest. Both manufacturers are high quality and have a lifetime guarantee. The Eibach is the most comfortable. It just depends on what you want.

Thanks for the reply. I have always used eibach on my other cars and have had few to no problems. SO i will probably go that direction.

Now I have noticed that MAE has a clk with a black grille. Is that a product they market? Probably not since you stated that no one does. I think I would rather keep it chrome than paint it. Never looks right after that.

How much will the Eibach`s drop a CLK55? I know the H&R`s drop 1 inch.

it depends on which h&r springs you are referring to. the three different ones i think, reg, sport , etc... and the only difference between the designation of the three are the drop in height.
