High Mileage Award
Hey guis,
I just received my first High Mileage Award for my 2002 CLK 430 Coupe. It is the 155000 mi/250000 km award. MBUSA sent it to me for free, I just had to fill out a form from their website and have my service manager sign it, and they sent me the award with a nice little certificate a few weeks later. To get the form, go to mbusa.com and click Only Mercedes-Benz, then Classic Community, then High Mileage award should appear in the right pane.
I currently have 158000 mi on the car and she is still going strong. No major problems. Here's a short list of what I've gone through so far: 2 alternators, spark plugs, flex discs, brake rotors, 1 windshield, 1 instrument cluster, and 2 catalytic converters (warranty).

i bought a lease return with starmark warr.
i must have done about 8k worth of warr work to get it running perfect
the last time i brought it in for a trans. fluid replacement at 185k(dealer cuz i'm scared to touch the trans) the tech was very surprised to see it in such good running condition. i do all work on the car myself.
my pass. side door check just took a poop, i m gonna replace that tomorrow.
things i need to do:
1 sparkplugs
2 serp. belt
3 fuel filter
4 valve cover gask and baffle seals
things i should do:
1 thermostat
2 waterpump
3 cps
4 maf
5 diff fluid and seal

Everyday I worry about putting more and more miles on my w209, especially now that I'm on the cusp of 70,000 miles. I've put on 12,000 miles in the past 6 months, already. But you have given me hope! Congrats on your award! I hope that mine will hold up just as long, if not longer.
