I'm back...

terry, did you find the cause of the noise? i'm also hearing a click when turning at low speeds or at a standstill.

other than this new found noise, the car rides and steers solid.

i'm thinking steering box is wearing out.

even at stand still i would move my steering wheel left and hear it click... then right and hear it click. if i move the steering wheel REAL slowly to either direction, there's no click.

i'll re-torque the steering gear bolts in the morning and report back

While looking for the post with a bay area owner with hr springs, I bumped into this post.

Anyway, the drag link solved the clicking noises and steering is as tight as ever. Also, before installing eibach springs and bilstein sport shocks, there was NO steering wheel vibration at any speed.

Yes. Some people decide to cut the through bolt and install the new bolt upside down because there isn't much room to work near the steering idler.

Did you also replace the drag link, aka the tie rod assembly? That could tighten up the steering even more.
