The big Mercedes emblem, or the small one? I have the Expression grill (big), which is part of a new hood/grill combination. Together, they shave off about 50lbs of weight, and dramatically help the looks of the car. You can see pictures in my gallery by clicking on the WWW below.

I've always loved Mach 430's grill/hood combo. it looks so flawless. How much did you pay for that setup? Is it a metal hood?

I hope Mach 430 doesn't mind me reposting a pic of his car. But that front grill/hood combo is simply flawless. Looks OEM (if Mercedes ever made the CLK with the star grill). Very clean. Plus look at that air dam. It's so nicely matched to the grill. A tremendous improvement over the stock CLK front.

Thanks!

We carry the hood/grill, so I got it at our cost. We sell them together for $1895. The hood is fiberglass, which is where you get the weight reduction. It mounts to your stock mounting points.

I'd like to find out about both grills small and big. I saw a white 430 today with a big one that resembled yours

I can't think of anyone off the top of my head with the same hood/grill as me in Chicago. There are only a handful floating around in the country. What you saw was probably more similiar to this:

Grilled

You're right . It's obvious the hood assembly looks much more refined but out of curiosity who makes this other grill?
by the way MACH your CLK is over the top...

Over the top good? Or over the top as in too much, looks bad? Hopefully the first.

The other grill is made by Shatz, but Petie refers to it differently. We carry both. The Shatz grill is much less expensive, but I think there is no comparison in looks.

All things considered, the top of the line is the CLK 55 AMG respectively. It appears your EvoCLK has not only met but exceeded the CLK55 in terms of performance and aerodynamics. So to answer your question , Over the top good!

Lol, that's turn 4 at the top of Willow. You remember that turn, right? The quicker you turn, the quicker you begin to gain speed downhill, leading to turn 9 and the front stretch.

If you get in an accident, it will probably break at its weakest points in relationship to the impact. Your stock hood will not break, but will definitely be bent to an unrepairable shape. Your hood is not part of the cars frame or crumble zone. It is designed to absorb as much impact as it can, while folding/bending into a tin can... Basically, if you crash you are going to be replacing the hood, no matter which it is.

So Schatz makes two different grills a small & big star. Where did you get the big star grill from?

Shatz makes one grill, which is Tom and the burgandy CLK both have.

The Big grill (CL STYLE) is made by Expression. We carry both.
