Mixing different brake pads

I need to replace the rear brake pads on my CLK. Would it be a problem if I changed my rear's to Porterfield and still have the factory pads in front?

Also, does anyone have any other info/tips on changing the rear brake pads. I found some info at http://www.mercedesshop.com/e_class_brakejob.htm

Thanks in advance.

you can mix to an extent. I don't think you can get Porterfields in the rear.
Besides they are crap. Upgrade the fronts to a better pad and use the oem pads in the rear. Easy to change...

Thanks for the reply. Which pads would you suggest?
