Cheers..
I got 18's with Michelin PS2's... I'm thinking of a 30/40 mm drop but with the speed humps in London, not sure if that will work..
A bit unrelated, but I'll ask on the off chance... Do we have any members that know the wokring of the 230's?? Not sure how different they are from 320/430/55, but I got an engine check light on. Run it though star and got P0410 -SECONDARY AIR INJECTION SYSTEM. I've taken the car to a mercedes specialist who has told me that there are two 'valves' at the back of the engine that apparently affects the amount of air and fuel going into the engine. These two valves are blocked and need changing. My question is this: Any1 know what these two valves are for & how easy/hard are they to change? I've been quoted about £80 for both parts, so not that bad BUT labour being about £300.. I would prefer to change the valves myself as they appear to be held onto the pipes coming out of them by jubilee clips.. Would this be an easy change for me????
I have attached a photo of 1 of the valves..
Some1 please help...
P.s. The sticker does indeed say 'avantgarde'..
Thanks

HI mate nice to see a fellow CLK230K on the forum. IT looks fairly straight forward a job to replace these valves, there must be someone on here that knows a bit more?
The other thing I do is phone and go through to parts dep at Mercedes and try and get someone that is helpfull and just ask them how to fit the parts yourself to save money! good luck
