2000 CLK 430
CD Changer Installation

Can anybody explain how to install a factory CD changer in a 2000 CLK 430? I have the factory fiber optic changer, but I'm not sure where the wiring is located. I know it's in the trunk somwhere, but not sure how to locate correct wires. Thanks.

Its very easy once you accept that the trunk shell needs to come out. Nothing real difficult, just seems that way. Make sure you have the CLK bracket.

Question CD Changer

The power supply cord and fiber optic wires are easy to find in the trunk on the passenger side, but you do need to pull out the rigid carpet/insulation...

I have a bracket, and I believe it is for the CLK, but:

How do you mount this bracket--I can't figure it out????

Thanks for the link. I actually found that page while searching for installation instructions. I think I've located the wiring, but the problem is that it's been close to -10F here in Boston for the last week with the wind chill and I don't have a garage. I think it's suppose to hit 40 this weekend, so I'll try then. It will feel like summer after this cold streak.
