got updated navi disc
I received the updated navi disc a couple of days ago, much more detailed as far as special interests and the towns/cities/roads are concerned. plus its been updated significantly....the booklet that has the cities/towns/areas in it must be 3 times as thick as the old one.... FYI, the disc has July 2001 on it, the old one had 2000 on it, and I received my car in august, so even early 2002 deliveries will have been given the old disc initially....anyways...best new feature...when you get on a main road like I95, instead of telling you to get on I95, it now will tell you to take I95 SOUTH or NORTH, or in the case of I90, EAST or WEST helps a little for sure...girlfriend likes the fact the word gastronomy has been changed to dining...for some reason the word gastronomy didnt sit well with her nicely

Funny thing is I have a feeling the real reason for the change from "gastronomy" to "dining" was caused by SOME owners not being able to find gas (the petroleum distillate kind) under this heading......

one question. is the nav that comes w/ command system in clk dvdrom based or cdrom based? i dont have that option so i dont know. i think for the amount of money they charge for that option, it better be dvdrom based. i dont think you would need any different cd/dvds. one dvd should cover the entire US.
